Emilia Clarke Got A ‘Game Of Thrones’ Tribute Tattoo And It’s Seriously Perfect

Game of Thrones has yet to kick off its eighth and final season, but fans and cast alike are already mourning the end of HBO’s (and arguably, all of TV’s) most popular show. Many of its actors have payed tribute to their time on GoT through various ways—though the most permanent, arguably, has been by getting inked.

A couple of months ago, Sophie Turner revealed her Stark-themed tattoo: a dire wolf above the words, “The pack survives.”

Turner had in the past also gotten a matching GoT tattoo with onscreen sister and real-life good pal Maisie Williams—the dates on which each learned they’d gotten cast on the show.

According to The Brampton Guardian, Williams, Turner, Harington, and Clarke were “all thinking of getting the O with the three lines in it from the logo. We were thinking of getting that on our little finger, our little pinky.”

“So I want that or I’m thinking of getting a smiley face on the bottom of my big toe just because I thought that would be really funny,” she added.

The latest star to get a GoT—inspired tattoo is the Mother of Dragons herself: Emilia Clarke.

Clarke debuted her tattoo—completed by celebrity tattoo artist to the stars, Dr. Woo—on Instagram. As you can see, it it a testament to her “children,” the three flying dragons Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion.

“MOD 4 LYFE!!!!?@_dr_woo_ made sure this mamma ain’t NEVER forgetting her babies…. ?,” she captioned the post, joking (?) how she only briefly passed out.

Naturally, people loved it.

The Mother of Dragons initially discussed getting a GoT tattoo during an appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan last spring after Ryan Seacrest said he’d attempted to set up an appointment at a tattoo parlor, but was denied because Clarke had already booked it.

He asked Clarke: “I was in a tattoo parlor the other day trying to get an appointment and they said that they were full because you’re coming in to get a tattoo of a dragon?”

When Ripa added, “Are you really doing it?” Clarke replied, “I’m going to get a dragon right here,” and pointed at her wrist, “kind of flying away.”

“A little kind of peace out,” she explained.
