Living with a bad roommate is like unwrapping a surprise that you didn’t sign up for. At first, they seem normal, but soon enough, their true, messy, or downright gross habits start to emerge, and by then, you’re in too deep to escape easily.
Almost everyone has had a nightmare roommate at some point, making it a kind of shared misery. Some folks have to deal with roommates who think dirty dishes belong in the sink indefinitely, or those who believe that turning off the stove is purely optional. It’s like a twisted rite of passage, a prequel to cohabiting with a spouse.
