A Note About Internet Content & DMCA

Like the majority of you, we’re huge fans of the Internet. We love sharing hilarious things that we happen to come across, which is partially why we created this site. We had a decent social media following and really wanted a place to share the things that made us laugh with them.

The problem with the Internet is that things get passed around so much that it can often be incredibly hard to figure out where original credit is due.

We do our best to try to track down the original source, but again, sometimes a piece of content has been circulated to the point where it becomes near impossible.

At the very, very least, we’ll link to where we came across it. We know this doesn’t make up for proper credit, but when it’s the best we can do, it’s all we’ve got.

That all being said, we’re firm believers in credit being appropriately given wherever it is deserved. We never crop out credit or add credit from this site on anything we share. If there is something you see on this site that you created and is not properly credited to you, please let us know. It should absolutely be properly credited. You made something for the Internet and wanted to get as many eyes on it as possible. And that’s happened. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who could care less or prefer to claim something as their own, and as it gets passed around for more eyes to see it, correct ownership gets lost in the mix.

So if something of yours ends up here without the right credit, we’d like to fix that. Send us any links and any other information you’d like us to add to the piece of content. If you prefer we take it down, we’re happy to do that instead.

All images on WorldWideInterweb are either our original content, have been submitted by email/social media, or are readily available in various places on the Internet and believed to be in the public domain.

All images posted are believed to be posted within our rights according to the U.S. Copyright Fair Use Act (Title 17, U.S. Code.) WorldWideinterweb respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same.

If you are a copyright owner of a photo that appears on please email us at [email protected] with a link to the photo and we will remove it immediately.

By submitting a photo or picture or other content or by making a comment, you represent and warrant to us that (1) doing so does not violate or infringe anyone else’s rights; and (2) you created the file or other content you are uploading, or otherwise have sufficient intellectual property rights to upload the material consistent with these terms.

With regard to any file or content you upload to the public portions of our site, you grant WorldWideInterweb a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable worldwide license (with sublicense and assignment rights) to use, to display online and in any present or future media, to create derivative works of, to allow downloads of, and/or distribute any such file or content.

To the extent that you delete any such file or content from the public portions of our site, the license you grant to WorldWideinterweb pursuant to the preceding sentence will automatically terminate, but will not be revoked with respect to any file or content Worldwideinterweb has already copied and sublicensed or designated for sublicense. Also, of course, anything you post to a public portion of our site may be used by the public pursuant to the following paragraph even after you delete it.

By submitting a file or other content from the WorldwideInterweb site, you agree that you will not use such a file or other content except for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may not claim any rights to such a file or other content, except to the extent otherwise specifically provided in writing.

If you see anything on our site that you believe infringes your copyright rights, you may notify our Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) agent by sending the following information:

Identification of the copyrighted work or works claimed to have been infringed.
Identification of the material on our servers that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including the URL or other information to enable us to locate the material.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by you as the copyright owner, or by your agent, or by law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner (or authorized to act on behalf of the owner) of the exclusive copyright right that is allegedly being infringed.
Your physical or electronic signature, or of someone authorized to act on your behalf.
Instructions on how we may contact you: preferably email, but also address and phone.
Send the above information to [email protected].

Use the same procedure for any claimed trademark violations or other infringements. If we receive a DMCA notice and remove something you posted anonymously, we will have no way of notifying you, so you will have to contact us if you think that may have happened.
