31 Times Rich People Proved How Out-Of-Touch They Are From Reality

“How could your family accountant let that happen?”

Sometimes, it’s like rich people are living in an entirely different world—one where money grows on trees and everyone’s biggest worry is which private island to vacation on next. I mean, we all know they’re a bit out of touch, but some of the things they say really take it to a whole new level of cluelessness. It’s like they’ve never even heard of a budget or what it’s like to be one minor inconvenience away from eating ramen for a week straight.

Take, for instance, the time a wealthy acquaintance asked a Redditor why they didn’t just hire someone to carry their groceries. Um, because I have two perfectly good arms and a desire not to spend my life savings on a trip to the store? Or the classic, “You don’t have a summer home? Where do you go when you’re tired of your regular house?” Oh, I don’t know…maybe the couch? These kinds of moments are like something straight out of a sitcom, and they’re exactly why we can’t help but laugh (and maybe cringe a little) when the rich try to relate to the rest of us.
