Some bad bosses are so entrenched in their rules that it blinds them from better alternatives — even ones that would save the company money.
In this case, an employee opted to take a train ride home from a job — a much cheaper option than flying. But because the employee booked a sleeper car, the boss went berserk and demanded he take the more expensive flight instead (you’re exactly right, it makes no sense at all).
The employee complied… maliciously.
