Hailey told Vogue: “We’re coming from a really genuine place. We’re two young people who are learning as we go. I’m not going to sit here and lie and say it’s all a magical fantasy…But there’s something beautiful about it anyway — about wanting to fight for something, commit to building with someone.”

One way that Hailey has chosen to show her commitment was by taking her husband’s last name.

In an interview with Bustle, Hailey shared that changing her name was hard because she’s “very proud” of it, and was also worried that her father, Stephen Baldwin, would be disappointed.

She explained: “I’m very proud of my family name. I come from a great family with a history in this industry. I remember when I was going to change it, I asked my dad if he was going to be upset and he was like, ‘No! I don’t care. We love you. It’s all good. Everyone still knows you’re a Baldwin!’ And it’s true!”

But getting used to her new name hasn’t been easy. “It took some getting used to, for sure. It’s definitely strange. It takes adjusting,” she said.
