Justin And Hailey Married Because They Wanted To Bone After More Than A Year Of Celibacy

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have always been private about their relationship. When they were married at a New York courthouse last September, they initially kept it a secret. When they first started dating several months before that, they tried to keep that under wraps too.

But the couple is finally peeling back the layers to give us plebes a glimpse into their world. The new March issue of Vogue revealed some very interesting things about the pair—like how when they first met, Bieber was going through a period of self-imposed celibacy because he had “a legitimate problem with sex.”

Vogue editor Rob Haskell called it a “remaining vice, an addiction that had long since ceased to provide him any pleasure.”

Bieber told Haskell that not having sex made him feel closer to God.

“He doesn’t ask us not to have sex for him because he wants rules and stuff,” said Bieber. “He’s like, I’m trying to protect you from hurt and pain. I think sex can cause a lot of pain. Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough. Because they lack self-worth. Women do that, and guys do that.”

“I wanted to rededicate myself to God in that way because I really felt it was better for the condition of my soul. And I believe that God blessed me with Hailey as a result. There are perks. You get rewarded for good behavior.”

God notwithstanding, the Beibers confirmed that they had saved themselves for marriage, and their rush to the aisle came from Justin’s “desire finally to have sex.”

The two dated briefly back in 2016 but broke up in what Hailey called a “very dramatic excommunication” as a result of what Haskell insinuated was “a betrayal.”

“Negative things happened that we still need to talk about and work through,” she said of this time. “‘Fizzled’ would not be the right word – it was more like a very dramatic excommunication. There was a period where if I walked into a room, he would walk out.”

Later on in the profile, Hailey—who Justin referred to solely as “baby boo”—said that their tumultuous relationship was reignited last June when they ran into each other at an Evangelical conference in Miami, run by the same pastor who officiated Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage.

“The common denominator, I promise you, is always church. By then we were past the drama. I just gave him a hug,” she explained. “By the end of the conference, he was like, ‘We’re not going to be friends.’ I was like, ‘We’re not?’”

They were engaged within a month.

In conclusion? According to Hailey, “Marriage is very hard. That is the sentence you should lead with. It’s really effing hard.”
