Everyone should work in the service industry at some point in their lives.
It’s grueling, uncomfortable, thankless work. Yet these workers receive more grief than most — mainly from customers enraged they had to wait over 5 minutes for a meal. But folks who have worked a service gig think twice about making a fuss because they know what it’s like in the kitchen.
The fast food worker sits at the bottom of the service industry totem pole. They’ve got the worst hours, lowest pay, and hangriest customers. My heart goes out to these fine people. Heroes as far as I’m concerned. Drunk me’s life has been saved by a clutch McDonald’s order on numerous occasions.
