Librarians are cool, actually. I grew up thinking they were old and mean, but that was because I was young and stupid. Booksellers, librarians, and anyone who loves books are smart, sexy, and fun. Look it up, nerd. Proof of their whimsy (or, likely, boredom at work) can be found in the “bookface challenge.” Readers of all kinds took the time to show they fit perfectly onto the book covers all around them.
Reading is good for you. I read that somewhere. Even being around books is supposed to help students do better in school. I read that in Freakonomics which is, mercifully, also a podcast. I don’t have time to read a lot of books anymore. But that doesn’t mean I won’t fetishize them in an unhealthy way by looking at these cute photos of people pretending to be the models used for covers of fine pieces of literature.
