Usually selfie deaths are considered a good thing. The Darwinism of the world giving us one less selfie-taker to deal with.
Well, thanks to some tourists in Argentina there is a new form of selfie death as a baby dolphin was killed after it was pulled out of the ocean because they wanted to click selfies with it.
The pics posted online show the poor baby dolphin being manhandled, and kept unprotected under the hot sun. “[Dolphins] can not remain long above water,” said an environmentalist from the Vida Silvestre Foundation. “They have very thick and greasy skin that provides warmth, so the weather will quickly cause dehydration and death.”
While two baby dolphins were pulled, only one has reportedly died. I know of the perfect punishment for these tourists and it involves using a selfie stick.
