Baby Born At A Chick-fil-A Gets Free Food For Life, Because Some People Have All The Luck

“This really happened, how is this my life right now?” says an awed Falon Griffin to KSAT-TV, referring to the fact that she delivered a baby in a Chick-Fil-A restroom.

Chick-fil-A may be the Griffin family’s favorite place to eat, but that doesn’t mean they wanted to have their baby in one. Ironically enough, Falon and Robert Griffin had bought their daughter-to-be a “Little Nugget” Chick-fil-A onesie three months ago, never knowing how on brand it would ultimately prove to be.

Falon Griffin began having intense contractions on Tuesday night, so she and husband Robert headed to the hospital. On the way there, the couple dropped off their two daughters with a family friend before stopping at a Chick-fil-A because Falon needed to use the bathroom.

She told KSAT-TV that she begged the employees to let her in (the restaurant was closed) and went to go use the restroom, only to realize she was in full-fledged labor. “I didn’t know I was going to have a baby in there,” says Falon. “I was going to the restroom!”

“I’m about to dial 911, I open the door and she’s just screaming,” said Brenda Enriquez, the manager of the San Antonio Chick-fil-A.

Robert Griffin jumped into action to deliver his baby girl, whom the couple named Gracelyn. He said he told his wife that “We’re gonna do something great, but we’re going to do it right here and we’re gonna do it right now.”

The fact that he was able to do so successfully is miraculous, considering she and her mom were considered a high-risk pregnancy. “I stopped her at her shoulders because I saw what looked to be a white collar around her neck, and it was the cord that had been wrapped around her neck twice,” the now father-of-three explained.

Both mom and daughter are reported to be doing well. “All I cared about at the end of the day was the baby was breathing, and by the time they (first responders) arrived, she was pink, thankfully for those blankets for keeping her warm,” said Falon.

As though Gracelyn wasn’t already lucky enough, Chick-fil-A offered the baby FREE FOOD FOR LIFE as well as a guaranteed job at age 14. Some people really just have it all.
