Pop Queen Ariana Grande dropped the single and music video for her new track ‘7 Rings’ just over ten hours ago, and it’s already racked up over 7.6 million views.
The third song from Grande’s upcoming fifth album, ‘7 Rings’ is set in a pink party mansion and is named after the seven matching diamond engagement rings the pop star bought for her best friends during a shopping spree after her breakup with Pete Davidson. It’s a “friendship anthem,” Grande said on Twitter, and it’s basically about being able to afford whatever you want because you’re rich as hell.
“Whoever said money can’t solve your problems / Must not have had enough money to solve ’em,” Grande sings. “They say, ‘Which one?’ I say, ‘Nah, I want all of ’em’ / Happiness is the same price as red-bottoms.”
Fans were quick to react to the song. Mostly about how it made them (us) feel HELLLAAAAA BROKE.

In the event you’re curious about the backstory behind the seven rings, here’s an excerpt from Grande’s Woman Of The Year interview with Billboard:
“It was a… challenging fall day in New York,” she said, of returning her engagement ring to Davidson. “Me and my friends went to Tiffany’s together, just because we needed some retail therapy. You know how when you’re waiting at Tiffany’s they give you lots of champagne? They got us very tipsy, so we bought seven engagement rings, and when I got back to the studio I gave everybody a friendship ring. That’s why we have these, and that’s where the song idea came from.”
Uhh…yeah, we totally know how they give you lots of champagne when you’re chilling at Tiffany’s! I personally do it all the time.
