Que? NPR is reporting that Univision Communications Inc., the parent company to the nation’s leading Spanish-language broadcast channel, has acquired a controlling stake in the satirical news site The Onion.
This is super bad news for English speakers and readers who ain’t never learned no Spanish and even those who took two years of it in high school but can’t remember a dang word of it.
One can only hope The Onion’s new Univision show “La Cebolla” will have English subtitles.
