Olive Garden isn’t the romantic setting I personally would choose for an engagement photoshoot, but I guess… to each their weird own.
Carlsey Bibb and Caden Mills recently got engaged and wanted an Italian-themed engagement shoot on, I guess, a VERY strict budget. So they hopped over to the Olive Garden.
BuzzFeed chatted with Bibb, who said she and Mills wanted something “different” from what everyone else in their Tennessee town did. “I asked Shea — our photographer and longtime friend — if there was anywhere she had been wanting to shoot but hadn’t yet. That’s when she mentioned Olive Garden!”
Shea Cravens owns Hunter Lashea Photography and has been a photographer for five years. Bibb says she trusted Shea to give them the shoot of their dreams.
The idea to shoot at the Olive Garden came after having lunch with her family at the establishment. “I looked over at the building and said to my mom, ‘This would be a cool spot to take some photos.'”
Shea said she was a little nervous, but once they started shooting it worked perfectly. “When we started planning to do Carlsey and Caden’s engagement photos, Carlsey had full trust in my idea, and I’m so grateful.”
In order to not disturb patrons, they did the shoot at about 6 a.m., before the Olive Garden opened. “I’ve never shot photos at any other restaurant, but I’ve done a photo shoot outside of Big Lots because it was a really neat area that caught my eyes to take photos at!”
“They were way better than we could’ve ever imagined,” Carlsey said.
