MTV Is Reviving ‘The Hills’ And People Are Really Angry About It

At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, the cast of The Hills reunited with some news–the network is bringing back the show. The gang made the big announcement at the awards show–but, left out some precious details.

The Hills: New Beginnings will feature some of the OG cast members, including Spencer and Heidi Pratt, Audrina Partridge, Justin Bobby Brescia, Jason Wahler, and Whitney Port. There will also be some new additions to the bunch. However, Lauren Conrad and Kristen Cavallari will not be coming back. Cavallari currently has her own show on E! and Lauren Conrad apparently turned down the opportunity. Conrad’s best friend, Lo Bosworth, also denounced the show altogether.

The rest was still unwritten… until now. #TheHills

Fans online were not happy to hear that they were going to remake the show without Conrad–who made the show what it was back in the early 2000’s. Let’s be real, there would be no The Hills without Laguna Beach and there would be no Laguna Beach without Conrad and Cavallari. Therefore, I understand the frustration.
