If you’ve been keeping up with the Kardashians–or Kylie Jenner for that matter–and the drama she’s involved in this summer, you’ll know that she and Nicki Minaj are not on good terms at all.
While Nicki was at Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party and seems to be close friends with her sisters, she threw Kylie and her boyfriend/baby daddy–Travis Scott–under the bus a few weeks ago after Scott’s album Astroworld prevented Nicki Minaj’s album Queen from hitting number one on Billboard’s Top 200.
I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.

Essentially, she got angry that Travis Scott was bundling his album with merch sales on his website–like many other artists in the industry do to boost album sales, seeing as streaming services interfere with their official numbers. Kylie Jenner helped her boyfriend by posting up some passes on her social media, letting fans know she and their daughter Stormi would also be joining Scott on tour.
Nicki Minaj was hella salty about this decision and blamed both Kylie and Travis for holding back her chart numbers in the United States.
Travis sold over 50K of these. With no requirement of redeeming the album! With no dates for a tour, etc. I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week. I love my fans for the #1 album in AMERICA! I’ll explain on #QueenRadio 4 albums in, #1 in 86 countries ♥️ pic.twitter.com/CiYEuczgm3

She also bashed Travis Scott on her radio show right after the MTV Video Music Awards. While Nicki has been acting like a straight up child when it comes to Kylie and Travis, she sunk even lower and decided to invite Tyga–Kylie’s ex-boyfriend–onto her radio show to spill some hot, hot tea. Tyga wasted no time when he got on the show dragging his ex-girlfriend, taking full credit for her popularity and success.
“She always had a platform and she was always destined to be what she was going to be regardless, but, when I stepped in, there was a lot of codes being taught. It was like, you could do this, you should start this, you should start doing your hair like this.”
Not only did Tyga take complete credit for Kylie’s popularity online and her “appearance,” he also said he was a big influence no the success of her Lip Kit company.
“I don’t need to go online and tell people I did this and I’m the one helping her coming up with these colors and names on her…lip line. It was a lot of stuff.”
Fans were absolutely dumbfounded that Tyga truly believes that he’s the reason for Jenner’s success. Lets face it–fans knew who she was before Tyga due to her famous family. Sure, their relationship gave her a little boost in the spotlight, but I’m pretty positive that having a TV show, famous siblings, and a mom who can turn dust into a dollar is the real reason Kylie is making it.
Wow okay, so this is the best thing I’ve ever heard? Did anyone really even know who Tyga was before he got with Kylie??? I knew he had that one song ‘Rack City’ but that is all ??♂️ https://t.co/TAcqGLw18v

Others called Tyga out for turning Kylie into someone who does nothing but “appropriates black culture.”
When Tyga said he built Kylie Jenner into the black cultural appropriator she is today

Black women: Kylie Jenner is imitating us and trying to be like us
Everyone: NO! Y’all are bitter and jealous!
Tyga: “I told Kylie to copy Black women and culture to make her more famous”

Y’all don’t find it problematic that Tyga told Kylie that she needs to appeal to the black community, and coached her on how to pander to us? #QueenRadio

All and all, this feud has gotten way out of control and way petty. Nicki Minaj stays paying Tyga to come on her show to drag Kylie Jenner, meanwhile Kylie is busy racking up billions of dollars through her cosmetics company on the daily. Sit down Nicki (and Tyga), y’all are both tired and washed.
