Scrolling through phone contact lists is like a treasure trove of inside jokes, questionable decisions, and memories you can’t quite recall (or prefer not to). Let’s be real, we’ve all had that moment of brilliance where we save someone’s number in our phones under a name that is, well, less than conventional. And by “less than conventional,” I mean utterly hilarious and often bizarrely specific.
But it doesn’t stop at acquaintances or emergency food contacts. Best friends? They are lovingly saved as “Therapist? And let’s not forget the mystery contacts. Like “Sara Bar Blue Shirt.” Who is Sara? I have no idea. But at some point in time, presumably in a bar, and presumably wearing a blue shirt, Sara made enough of an impression to earn a spot in my digital Rolodex.
The funniest part? These names often stick for life. So, shoutout to all the “Tinder Tina,” “Gym Crush Lauren,” and “Do Not Answer Dan’s” of the world. You bring a little bit of joy and a lot of confusion into our lives, and for that, we salute you (and maybe giggle a bit every time we see your name pop up on our screens).
