Chrissy Teigen Claps Back At Twitter Troll Who Called Her ‘Fat’ And ‘Chubby’

Chrissy Teigen is a successful cookbook author, model, and TV personality, and she’s also the unofficial queen of Twitter. With such fame unavoidably comes trolls, but Teigen is confident, smart, and hilarious, and handles them like a pro—she’s not one to suffer fools gladly.

Recently an online troll decided to try to hurt Teigen by commenting on her weight. Not only is that just mean-spirited in general, it’s also pretty dumb, because her weight is something Teigen’s been quite open about.

At the end of March, Teigen tweeted about a restaurant she and her family went to where she ordered literally everything on the menu. And in response to the question (which I guess some people actually ask, rude), “how do you eat like this??” Teigen explained that she never lost all the weight she put on after having her second child, son Miles. She’s just 20 pounds heavier than she used to be, and that’s her “new normal.”

On Monday, a man started harassing Teigen after Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted a picture of herself with Teigen and her (Tiegen’s!) husband, John Legend.

The man, named Jose Morales (@Josemor11350147 on Twitter), responded to the picture by writing, “Tiegen [sic] got fat, holly zhit.”

He also wrote, “Fatty Tiegan [sic] at it again, attacking Ivanka Trump because she posts photos of her kids. Well, instead of Chubby Tiegan stuffing her face, she needs to realize Ivanka & her kidsaren’t illegals. How many illegals have multi millionaire Chubby Tiegan & her husband sponsored? NONE!” Ahh, a political troll, how nice (siiiigh).

When someone pointed out what an ass he was being, Morales responded, “Tiegan likes to attack people, so i’m attacking her weight, chubby needs to get to the gym.”

This time Teigen stepped in to say a little something, as she is wont to do (it’s part of the reason she’s so funny on Twitter).

She wrote, “I hate to say this but…you are not a small person? also I don’t care about my weight sooooo this does not hurt.”

Morales’ user pic is not of himself, though—that’s Rep. Jerry Nadler, and a few people pointed out as much in the comments. But Teigen is still pretty sure that the troll is not an attractive person, just writing, “I can guarantee he’s not a handsome man, lol.”

That’s always a good indication of a troll—happy to make fun of someone else from behind the obscurity of their computer. No matter what this man looks like, he’s not a good person inside, and as we all learned as little kids, that’s what really matters.
