Honestly, all I can say is WOOOOWWWWWWW.

In a video posted on Wednesday, TikToker Makenna (@kennaxmckee) shared a story of the racism she faced as a waitress at a South Carolina Hooters.

The video went viral and now boasts nearly 500,000 views.

In the video, Makenna has her Hooters uniform on while she mouths “you’re that girl, you’re the one” from Drake’s song “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” She stands before a bathroom mirror. The text overlay says, “Having to get myself together because a customer asked for a [white woman emoji] server instead of me.”

And just: YIKES.

I’m so sorry, Makenna.

People in the comments also sounded off, sharing similar experiences and their sympathy.

“I use to bartend at Twin Peaks in Texas, this actually happens and it happens more often that you’d think,” commented @raewill_.

“Nahh I’ll go over to him n let him know he ain’t gettin no one else or else he can leave,” another user wrote in. Makenna replied to the comment, “That’s what I did, lol he left bc no one came and took his order lol.”

Another person wrote, “First off, you’re gorgeous. Second, how did they even allow this??? People should have gotten kicked out immediately.”

Agreed!

Makenna posted a follow-up video explaining that the incident occurred during a rush.

“Please don’t take offense to this, but can I just get a white waitress? I’m sorry,” she says the customer said to her.

She walked off at that point and did not tell anyone else about the incident. She ignored the customer until he asked if someone was going to take his order.

“I just looked at him and then kept walking like, you think I’m going to talk to you after you just said that?” she says. “He finally ended up getting up and walking out.”

Earlier that day, a different customer declined to tip; it was just a crappy day all around. In that situation, the customer wasn’t going to tip at all but a friend pushed him to do so. He left the tip, then came back after his friends left and took it back. THEN this absolute genius realized he forgot his food and had to come BACK into the restaurant for it. He told Makenna he forgot to tip her and ran off.

“There’s just no way this is still going on in the world, you know?” she said.
