If you hear a song in your head a specific way, it can be pretty tough to convince that old brain of yours otherwise. It’s tough to come back from singing the lyrics to a song a certain what and have your friends ask, “what did you just say?”
Look, musicians are talented — they sing fast and melodically and sometimes Madonna’s “music makes the bourgeoisie and the rebel…” sound a lot more like “music makes the boys boogey and the pebbles!”
We’ve all been there.
Late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon asked the Twitterverse to share misheard song lyrics using the hashtag #MisheardLyrics and the results show us just how magical our brains can really be.
